Accessing Role Revealer
Navigate to your project and locate "Role Revealer" on the left sidebar. Clicking on this will open the Role Revealer page which features three tabs: Report, Analysis, and Settings.
Report Tab
This is your landing tab. It consists of two tables:
Roles and Users: This table displays all project roles along with the users and groups assigned to these roles. Roles are indicated with a star (⭐) symbol next to them if you, the current user, are assigned to them.
Permissions and Roles: This table lists permissions vertically and roles horizontally, with checks indicating the association of each permission with each role. Hovering over the permission name shows a tooltip with more details. The General column on the far right shows groups, users, and special actors associated with each permission, irrespective of role assignment.
Analysis Tab
This tab provides warnings, notices, and informational notes about the permissions granted within the project. It's your go-to for troubleshooting access and permission issues.
Settings Tab
This tab allows you to customize two settings on a per-user basis:
Hide the General column: This setting hides the General column in the Permissions and Roles table across all projects when you view Role Revealer.
Hide unassigned project roles: This setting conceals project roles that have no users or groups assigned.
Remember, these settings apply globally across all projects but only for your user account. For example, if you choose to hide the General column, it will be hidden for you in all projects, but other users will still see this column unless they too enable this setting.
