Accessing AI Assist controls

To begin, navigate to your Jira Service Management project. In the left sidebar, click on "Project Settings." Within the Project Settings, you will find a section called "AI Assist controls." Click on it to access the AI Assist controls.

Monitoring AI Assist Usage

The Dashboard tab is the default landing tab. This tab provides valuable insights into AI Assist usage within your project:

• Total AI Assists: Displays the total number of AI assists used, both overall and for the current month.

• Total Request Costs: Shows the overall costs for AI assists and the costs for the current month.

• Average Cost per AI Assist: Indicates the average cost of each AI assist.

• AI assists history: Presents an overview of the last 1,000 AI assists, including the issue key with a link, time and date, cost, and the actor (an agent or Auto Suggest).

Configuring AI Assist Settings

In the AI Assist controls page, you will see the following options on the Settings tab:

• OpenAI API Key: This is a mandatory field. Enter your OpenAI API key to enable AI Assist for your Jira Service Management project. This key allows the integration of ChatGPT and ensures data privacy and security.

• AI Assist Auto Suggest: Toggle this feature on or off (default). When enabled, AI Assist will automatically add an internal comment with a generated solution or workaround to each new customer request, helping agents resolve issues faster.
  This option is only available when a valid OpenAI API key is added.
