How to get an API key for OpenAI?

Here's how to generate an API key/bearer token at OpenAI:

Log in to your OpenAI account.
Click on your username located in the top-right corner of the page.
Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
Under the "API Keys" section, click on the "Generate New API Key" button.
Click "Generate API Key".
Your new API key will be displayed on the screen. Be sure to copy and save it in a safe place, as it will not be displayed again.

Do not share your API key with others, or expose it in the browser or other client-side code. In order to protect the security of your account, OpenAI may also automatically rotate any API key that we've found has leaked publicly.
